Bait and Switch?

While there is no research evidence showing that switching schools improves the reading performance of students, NCLB has unleashed a flood of transfers that threaten to overwhelm many schools that had previously managed to produce impressive AYP.

Parents hoping for miracle cures by switching schools are likely to find that performance improves when students get the help they need in small classes from skilled teachers. Sometimes the high scoring schools are not equipped to offer such skilled support for such students.

One more NCLB false promise!
