A Change in Leadership?

The good news is the retirement of Secretary Paige, famous for his "terrorist" insult handed to the NEA and his heavy-handed leadership.

His replacement is a woman whose main credentials seem to be loyalty to the President and a smooth, pleasant personality. Her track record: years of managing the so-called "Texas Miracle" that lowered the dropout rate without lowering the attrition rate.

Meanwhile, the NCLB juggernaut proceeds without delay, failing more schools and more children in the name of reform.
